Joyhub Air Hotel

As there was only 1 flight from Chengdu back to Singapore, we chose to stay overnight at the airport hotel within Chengdu Airport. We were hoping to enjoy some Chengdu cuisine before our flight back, so we chose to stay at Johhub Air Hotel, which was located between Terminal 1 and 2 of Tianfu Airport

There was a security check at the linked entrance of the hotel and the airport, where the guards will check your luggage with a strip for explosives. The checks are similar to the ones at the entrances of the airport

Once you pass the entrance, there is a grand courtyard that links to the entrance of the hotel. There are, in fact, 2 different hotels in the area, the Joyhub Air Hotel and the Joyhub Cheer Hotel, and both are linked

From the linkway of the airport, there is a convenience store, a concierge, as well as check-in counters for flights, where customers can check in their luggage from within the hotel lobby and walk to the airport luggage-free. The counters were closed when we were there, so we are not sure if this service was active. We had to walk another 5 to 8 minutes to reach the main lobby of the Joyhub Air hotel, where we booked our room for 1 night

The main lobby was extremely spacious, with many seating spaces for customers and had a pretty interesting modern design with the use of designer lights and wooden beams to create the high ceiling space. The check-in process was quick and efficient since we were pretty late, and there were only a few other guests who were also processing their check-ins

The rooms were quite spacious with good privacy space between the 2 twin beds and an area for working and dining, which is placed just in front of the TV. The beds were also very comfortable and provided just enough support for a good rest

The toilet and bathroom were separated, which is good for 2 people staying in the room, and there was a separate dressing room area just outside the toilet where you can store your luggage or hang your clothes. The usual amenities like an electric kettle, coffee, tea and a safe were also provided

Overall, the hotel is pretty new and very well-maintained and is a perfect hotel to rest before an early flight the next day. Breakfast was provided, and from the outside, the spread looks sumptuous, but we did not manage to eat as we chose to sleep in and rest just before our early flight back to Singapore
