Muji is a Japanese brand that originated from Japan in 1980 and offers an entire range of household, lifestyle and apparels in high quality. Muji loosely translates to no brand goods in Japanese but aims to offer high quality products through careful selection of materials. Muji is highly popular in Japan and throughout Asia and is known for their clean and minimalist style. The Muji café is also extremely popular in Japan as they offer meals and desserts throughout the day.
The café located within the Muji store is done up in clean and minimalist style as well which is exactly like the products they sell. While it is minimalist, the entire atmosphere is still very warm and relaxing with the wood furniture and orange lights
The café offers set meals during lunch and dinner as well as desserts and drinks
There is a variety of salads and side dishes to choose from to make up your set meal and most of them are very light and healthy.
They also have a variety of cakes and puddings for dessert. Everything is self service over here so after getting a table, you have to order your meals or drinks at the counter. For drinks and desserts, you will carry your own items to the table. For the meals, the service staff will bring them to you
As it was not meal time, we only had drinks like the yuzu lemonade which was really too sweet that I have to wait for the ice to melt.
All of their beverages are served from kitchenware right from their own store
You are expected to clear your own plates and trash and there is complimentary water which you can serve yourself right at the counter next to the cashier.
Overall, I am reviewing the café based on atmosphere since I did not get to eat at the café and the drinks are pretty general so there is not much to say about them. The set lunch meal looks fantastic from the people sitting around us and judging by the crowd coming into the café just to eat, I think the food should be good. The café Muji is a nice place to relax and take a break from the hectic day.
