Beans Village

We were having a serious cravings for sweet dumplings while walking around the area after visiting Ning Xia night market and chanced upon this very popular stall with the locals. There were long queues outside the shop and we found out that the store was famous for soy bean curd pudding which explains the name Beans Village.

For bean curd toppings, they have barley, yam balls, red bean, cereal, lemon and dumpling with soy bean as well. Each bowl is only from TWD 45 to TWD 75.

The dessert shop is entirely self service so from taking the food to getting a table and even keeping your empty bowls, there is no servers and all customers have to do it themselves.

Since we were craving only for the dumplings, we did not try the bean curd. The dumplings here were smaller in size with black sesame fillings. The skin of each dumpling is springy, chewy and thin bursting with sesame fillings. The peanut soup is sweet with the peanut cooked till soft which melts in your mouth. The desserts here were legit good which explains the non stop customers coming into the shop.
