The Jurong point Fish & Co is a mid size restaurant with a simple bistro styled setting with sufficient seating for up to 40-50 person.

Some of the most popular items on the menu includes seafood platter for sharing as well as fish and chips. The interesting part is that the menu evolved from the start from a typical seafood fried and grill restaurant to include some local flavors like sambal fish platter.

You can choose to add SGD 5 to any of their main menu for an additional soup and drink. The soup served depends on the soup cooked for the day. Basically, the soup was quite mediocre but was not bad tasting.

As their most popular item on their menu, Fish & Co actually came out with a few different variation of the dish. The one above is the New York Fish and chip which comes with oozy cheese in the center of the fillet.

The traditional fish and chip was all crispy in golden brown batter while the fish was still soft and juicy. There was also a selection of fries between normal and truffle. Personally, I feel that the truffle was very faint and you almost cannot taste it in the fries.

The other famous dish of the restaurant is the seafood platter which includes fries, grilled prawns, grilled calamari and grilled fish. The platter also comes with butter raisin rice and a creamy buttery sauce for the seafood. There is 2 size for the platter, either for 1 or 2 for sharing. The seafood is all well grilled and pretty fresh with the exception of the fish where you can clearly taste that it is frozen fish and not fresh fish.

You can also order the grilled calamari on it’s own instead of the platter. The squid is grilled till tender with a smokey taste and the butter sauce complements the calamari very well.

Fish & Co has various outlets across shopping malls and all their outlets maintain the standard of their dishes. If you are craving seafood but have a limited budget, Fish & Co is a pretty good choice.
