There are plenty of hotels and hostels in Kuala Lumpur and being the cosmopolitan city centre of Malaysia, you can find all 5 star chain hotels to unknown cheap seedy hostels in all corner of KL One of the most popular shopping street of KL is Bukit Bintang and it is considered the best area to stay and because of this, most hotels around these area is expensive. I am quite reluctant to write this review in the fear of more people discovering this hotel and driving the prices up but I guess I have to share good things with my readers.

Located between the side street of Lot 10 building and Fahrenheit building, the hotel is hidden from sight from the main busy shopping street and might not get noticed by most people.

Nestled amongst a stretch of old buildings and a seedy pub, the Gold 3 boutique hotel is a  6 storey modern industrial chic looking hotel right in the middle of the stretch. The main entrance of the hotel is locked at all times and only opened for guest of the hotel to ensure topmost security.

The hotel lobby is simple yet classy with a small reception counter and always 2 staff on duty. The brainchild of the hotel is an avid photographer who travels around the world taking pictures. His belief is that travel enriches the soul as with photographs and accommodations which is part of travel; therefore should be made affordable.

The lobby itself is decorated with many photography inspired items like old and collector cameras and films. There is also a cabinet of very valuable collectibles for people to admire. The 2 level of the hotel also houses a photography museum. There are multiple areas available for guests to sit and rest as well as a washroom for guests to use and a storage room for luggage of guests after check out.

The corridors are lit with warm lighting is neither too narrow or spacious but sufficient for huge luggage to past. The corridor areas are also very well maintained with hardly any smudges on the walls.

We had a family room which sleeps 4 adults with only 1 bathroom.

The room has 2 queen sized bed and very spacious room size for plenty of shopping and luggage. The entire room is lit with warm lighting making the room very cosy.

At the corner of the room, there is also a small hanger area with 5 to 6 hangers and a small safe for storing of valuables.

There is a small desk with an electric flask, bottled water, plastic cups, tea bags and a telephone if you need to contact the reception.

For those of us who loves travelling with multiple devices and appliances, fret not as there is more than sufficient power points next to each bed.

Fresh towels are provided on a daily basis and even if the towels are not of 5 star quality, it is at least not fraying at the ends.

The bathroom itself is separated from the bedroom via a sliding door and the size of the bathroom itself is considered small. The shower area itself is much bigger than the other areas of the bathroom.

You can see from here that the toilet itself is quite near to the basin area so it can be a tight fit to wash up during the morning itself. (Pardon my reflection trying to take a nice photo)

Shower amenities are provided via the containers fixed on the wall of the shower area

There is also a basic hair dryer provide in the bathroom.

Overall, I am glad that I found this hotel as the location on Bukit Bintang itself is a jewel and it is so convenient to all shopping, restaurants, food courts and convenience stores. The hotel itself is fantastic with very well maintained rooms and amenities and professional service. I hope the hotel continues with their standards even if more guests find their way to this hotel and also keep their prices affordable. This is one good quality boutique hotel.
