When I listed a couple of cafes to visit, Mammamia was on a backup list as it was a floral-themed cafe and I was more interested in visiting the Teddy-themed cafe but unfortunately, when I was there, Teddy’s Oven was closed for a private event so we decided to head over to Mammamia instead

Located in the Apgujeong neighbourhood, which is home to many quirky retail stores, quality restaurants and small cafes, Mammamia does stand out from the rest with its bright pink exterior
Right from their entry point, the cafe gives off a rustic countryside home feeling. The rooms of the cafe are heavily decorated with dry flowers and real plants for a pretty backdrop for photos. I do think the rooftop looks very pretty and can be great for small and intimate events. You can also opt to sit in the courtyard area which is like an outdoor garden with its drooping plants giving a natural atmosphere
The cafe serves mainly fresh baked goods as well as some yoghurt bowls and beverages. There is not much hot food available except some cream soups
As we were still going to eat dinner, we opted for lighter menu items like the peach yoghurt ball on top of muesli and granola, honeycomb Greek yoghurt and a fruit ade. The honeycomb Greek yoghurt was a perfect match which is expected since it is offered by some yoghurt brands. The fresh honeycomb does make a difference with its natural sweet honey balancing out the sourness of the yoghurt. The fruit ade was normal and slightly too sweet in my opinion. The interesting item was the peach yoghurt ball which is really a frozen peach stuffed with Greek yoghurt. The entire bowl was very filling yet nicely balanced with the sweetness from the peach, tanginess from the yoghurt and the crunch from the muesli and granola. This would be a perfect breakfast item although it was also a nice snack in between meals
Overall, Mammamia Cafe has a very relaxing atmosphere which is great for chilling out for the afternoon. The items I ordered were nice but nothing too special to guarantee a special visit. There are other reviews with claims that their bakes are really good but I did not get a chance to try them. For photo opportunities, the cafe is still worth a visit
