P.S. Cafe always pops up in my mind whenever I feel like having a Western meal in a relaxing chill environment. With over 10 outlets across Singapore, PS Cafe is a favourite amongst family and friends during weekend brunch and lunches

The nearest outlet to my house is the one at Great World and when it opened in 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic, I did not get to visit them. Since then, I have visited them twice to satisfy my cravings for one of their desserts

Similar to their other outlets, the Great World outlet is decked in black and white modern industrial vibes with a mix of natural with the greenery wall right at the back of the restaurant to enhance the relaxed atmosphere

One of my favourite items from P.S. Cafe is their desserts and cakes. I absolutely loved their pecan pie but it is sadly not available anymore. Just like other outlets, they have a huge display chiller where they showcase the available cakes, pies and pastries for the day

As I wanted a simple lunch, I ordered a spicy king prawn aglio aglio which was spaghettini the thinner noodles served with prawn meat, toasted sesame and fresh herbs. The pasta was cooked al dente and very light. The spice was on point with enough kick for you to keep eating and not reach for water. The king prawn was however not very huge and missable in the dish

We also ordered the pork back ribs served with barbeque sauce and served with walnut and cabbage slaw. The slaw was mixed with minimum sauce so it was crunchy and had a strong cabbage raw taste which was an acquired taste. The ribs were soft and easily fell off the bone but the sauce was too sweet for my liking as it made the entire dish very heavy for the stomach. Pairing it with a bite of the slew made it less greasy and easier on the stomach

My favourite dessert from P.S. Cafe is the sticky date pudding with toffee sauce topped with vanilla ice cream. The pudding was dense and heavy so sharing with a few people is recommended. The toffee sauce was sticky and sweet which was perfect for the dense pudding as it added moisture and a sticky texture and when paired with the ice cream was a nice explosion of flavours and textures
Overall, the food is generally delicious at P.S Cafe although the price point is slightly on the higher spectrum the atmosphere is really nice for chilling out and people watching. The desserts are the highlight of the cafe and usually don’t disappoint even though they are usually on the dense side and are quite filling on their own
