Copper Beyond Buffet

While Copper Beyond Buffet is popular amongst locals, with its first outlet opened in 2016 at Pinklao, which is an hour drive from Bangkok Centre, the restaurant only recently blew up the internet with its outlet in Chit Lom, opened in 2024. Sometime towards the tail end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, influencers and general folks started to post videos and stories of their experience at Copper

Promoted as Thailand’s leading premium buffet destination, the restaurant offers an immersive culinary journey where Michelin-level techniques meet the freedom of all-you-can-eat dining. Spearheaded by world-class chefs, each dish is meticulously prepared using the same elevated cooking methods found in fine dining establishments. Due to its popularity, bookings start from 2 months before via Hungry Hub, which offers packages and dishes that are not publicly released. During my first visit, I bought a lobster package, while on my 2nd visit, I purchased a free flow Foie Gras package

Located in Amarin Gaysorn, Copper Beyond Buffet takes on a very classy and opulent decor with modern and chic aesthetics. The combination of black and white tiles against gold and dark wood furnishings resembles the restaurant of a 5-star hotel. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept where chefs cook the dishes behind glass counters

The reason why the restaurant has the word Beyond is that it symbolises the owner’s desire to surpass the ordinary buffet experience. I think the owner has definitely achieved this. The moment we stepped in, we were overwhelmed by the sheer number of counters and food offerings. There was a clear separation of International delights like raw sashimi, raw oysters, seafood, grilled meats, as well as local Thai favourites like som tam salad, beef boat noodles, Thai curry and more. On top of the self-service counters, there is a giant menu featuring over a hundred cooked dishes, which can be ordered and served directly to your table

The food was fresh and generous in servings. You can tell the staff or chef behind the counter, and you get served a fixed serving of the dish. You can definitely ask for more, but the whole process is very clean since diners do not touch the food at all. Just feeding on the sashimi was well worth the price

We moved on to the other self-service items like grilled meats and seafood, and there were also fried items, which we did not get to save our stomach space for items we really liked. We also skipped the freshly cooked pasta stations. We were served our lobster from our package, and only 1 serving was given for each package. The quality of the seafood and meats was great and cooked quite perfectly, even though they were probably cooked in large batches for the self-service counters. As a prawn lover, the prawns had the perfect sweetness and crunchiness, combined with the charred flavours of the grill. The soup was also quite creamy and flavourful, and the serving was just nice for tasting

The next batch of items was from the giant menu, where we ordered about 20% of the items just to give them a try. They range from Japanese Tonkatsu, seared scallops, tofu in foie gras, seared fish, abalone tarts, prawn with corn foam, lobster bisque, and many more dishes that I cannot remember. To be fair, expecting every single dish to be perfect is quite demanding. Some dishes were better than the rest in terms of flavour and the way they were cooked. I was impressed, however, with the immaculate plating for every dish which was served to us. Even though this was a buffet, the dishes were plated and served like a fine dining restaurant

When I had the unlimited foie gras package during my 2nd visit, let’s just say my table was the envy of many who looked around but could not find the foie gras anywhere. I was so proud that I booked this package online and got to gorge myself silly with foie gras throughout the dinner. Each piece was perfectly seared with great browning and melty insides, and the serving was also generous, with each serving at least 1cm in thickness and 3 cm in length

Last but not least, we had to get desserts, and we only chose 2 since our tummy was bursting. There was still an endless selection of cakes and other desserts, but I think we made a good choice getting the chocolate lava cake and the pineapple granita. The chocolate was flowy and chocolatey, while the pineapple granita was tangy and helped to wash down all the food we stuffed into our bodies. Not to mention, they also have a bar which served free flow Thai milk tea, lemongrass tea, and a honey lemon drink from a draft tap to ensure the drinks are foamy and fresh. For those who prefer the usual soft drinks and hot drinks, there is also another dispeser at the other side

Overall, the experience at Copper Beyond Buffet was great, and we only tried maybe 50% of their dishes before we became too full to try others. The local Thai dishes do look good as well, but we just did not have the stomach to eat them. Since the buffet slots are in 1.5hours to 2hours, it is quite difficult to eat every single dish unless you are really young with a huge appetite. Regardless, it is still a restaurant I will visit again
