During our meetings, I have been passing this restaurant quite often, so when we decided to stop by for lunch, I was quite delighted. More than just a brewery, Kling is gathering to music, ideation and laughter and having fun

The entrance to the restaurant is an industrial-style deco with a display of a retro motorbike right in the front, which gives it a young and fun vibe
There are both outdoor seats, which are not air-conditioned, and indoor seats, which are air-conditioned. The outdoor seats were arranged in a casual, long table style, as well as a high table and bar style. Interestingly, the bar counter is placed outdoors, which gives off the vibes of a beach bar. In the indoor seats were primp and proper with the standard table and chair seating, and you are able to see the huge brewery tanks in the middle of the restaurant. There is also a small outdoor garden area for people who prefer a more private setting, instead of the communal long tables
For a start, I had the chunky roasted tomato and cheese soup, which was quite watery with a tangy flavour. It tasted more like instant soup, which was not all that great. Next, we had the curried prawns, which were pump and juicy but extremely spicy for me. This would be perfect with white rice, as the light acidity of the onion, lime complemented the spicy flavours well

Next, we had the chicken seekh kabab platter, which is a type of kebab, native to the Punjab and Awadh regions, made with subcontinent spices, spiced minced or ground meat formed into cylinders on skewers and grilled. The platter included both spicy as well as herb-marinated ones. This dish can be eaten with rice or roti, or naan. The chicken is tender since it is minced, and the spices are generally quite mild without causing any burning in the stomach. The lime also gives it a refreshing, tangy finish and helps cut out the oil. The only downside, I found the meat quite oily

The next thing we ordered was Pad Thai, which came looking disarrayed in its plating. On top of crushed peanuts, there were also whole peanuts thrown into the noodles, which was a bit weird to me. The rice noodles were not as soft as the usual Pad Thai I have eaten before, and it was overly sweet for me

Last but not least, we had the fried rice with chicken satay, which came with a fried egg, crackers and 2 skewers of chicken. The fried rice was very fragrant and had good flavours. There was a hint of spice, but just enough to kick up an appetite
Overall, the food is not fantastic, and some of them are a bit mediocre, but in terms of flavour, the fried rice did impress me, although the rest paled. The atmosphere is, however, great with a casual and chill vibe, with a great selection of alcohol and beers
