Namsan King Tonkatsu at Incheon Airport

I wrote about Namsan King Tonkatsu some time back and it is a place I always return to for good quality and delicious Tonkatsu when I have a craving in Seoul. When I was at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 foodcourt, I was pleasantly surprised by the Namsan King outlet since I did not manage to eat the Tonkatsu during the latest trip

Located near gate 30 on the 4th floor in Terminal 1, the Namsan King Pork Cutlet is the first restaurant you see when you go up the escalator to the 4F.

There is some seating area around each of the different popular stores and also more seating available in the centre areas. There are many monitors around the whole food court for customers to see their calling numbers from each of the restaurants

Once you have found a seat which can be quite difficult during peak hours, you can put in your order at the counters of the different outlets. Some restaurants offer Burgers, Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese as well as a bar. The offerings here are similar to the main outlet with the original tonkatsu, cheese tonkatsu as well and mixed tonkatsu

Each tonkatsu is served with a side salad with pickles on the side and Thousand Island sauce. There is also a small bowl of cream of mushroom soup

The shredded cabbage is fresh and crunchy with just enough Thousand Island sauce to provide the tangy creamy flavour which can help to cut through the oil of the fried katsu. The pickles on the side also go well with the katsu giving it an additional layer of tangy and savoury flavours

The soup is consistent with what I have tried in the main outlet with a thick and creamy consistency. The flavour is light tasting with the mushroom and can taste like a pure creamy milk soup

The Tonkatsu is huge and perfectly fried with a crispy batter and tender meat. The small ball of rice is just nice for 1 person as we got really full from finishing the whole set. For a full review of the taste of the Tonkatsu, do read the review on the main outlet on Namsan here
