Miracle Airport Lounge

Bangkok Airport has some of the largest lounges due to the sheer amount of traffic going through the airport, and with my Priority Pass, I can access about 2 to 3 of them. The ones closest to the SQ boarding gates are the Krisflyer lounge and the Miracle Lounge

Opened 24 hours, Miracle Lounge is one of the lounges offering free access to Priority Pass holders as well as paid access at 1,200 baht for 3 hours. With most lounges in Bangkok changing their rules, only a couple offer paid access, which is why Miracle is very popular

The first and the business lounge are next to each other and share the same dining space, but the First class does have some additional seating spaces and offerings. We went to the business class side as there were fewer people. Similar to many lounges, the layout starts with sofa seats with low tables with drinks machine and a snack counter and the dining area with hot food is in the center with proper table and chair setting

In terms of food offerings, you can find the usual cold food like salad, cheese and crackers, sandwiches and pastries. For hot food, they have a noodle soup live station and a chicken rice live station. For other cooked food, they included local delights like fried rice, Thai green curry, and stir-fried vegetables. There was also a popcorn machine and warm puff pastries for people who were not that hungry

The shower room was pretty huge and decently kept clean. Towels were provided with shower gel in the shower area. The hair-dryer was the weak kind, which is commonly used in hotels, and would take too long to dry long hair

Overall, the lounge was basic, and the food tasted mediocre. I tried the chicken rice and some of the hot food, and it was edible but not worth the calories. It was as bad as some aeroplane meal. While it is not the best lounge, its location made it the best choice to get a rest or shower to freshen up if you are taking flights along the D gates
