There are many hotels available around the Jiu Zhai Gou area, and we chose to stay within walking distance of the Scenic Area

The Ji Hotel at the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area was only a 15 to 20-minute walk to the main entrance of the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area and is located together with a cluster of restaurants, shops and hotels. The hotel itself is very new and well-maintained, with a spacious lobby for check-in and a minimalist decor which puts you at ease the moment you enter the lobby
There were only a few levels to the hotel, and we were given rooms on the same level as the lobby. There was a laundry facility as we walked to our room, as well as a small cafe which served the breakfast included in the room rate. I like the fact that the entire hotel was in the same minimalistic Muji style furnishings
As you enter the room, you walk into the sink and clothes-hanger area as well as the toilet and bathroom, which is separated by a door on the left. The room is considered spacious with a lounging sofa, a small table area with a chair for work and a king-sized bed. On top of the usual amenities, the hotel also provided a cute tea set and a small air humidifier. The bed had good support without being too stiff, and I had a great rest
The cafe is quite big, but there were limited tables for seating, so it is best to visit during off-peak timings. The items available are mostly local delights like rice, porridge, steamed buns, stir-fried vegetables and meat. There is also a live noodle station, which can be customised for light soup noodles or spicy soup noodles. The food was functional for me to get energy for our day, and I wouldn’t describe it as very delicious. For those with more time, it would be better to settle for breakfast at one of the other restaurants
