As I was staying in Nagoya only for 1 night I needed an accommodation near the Nagoya train station. My schedule was extremely packed so I arrived early in the morning from Kyoto and dropped my luggage with the hotel before going for the Glibli Park tour before returning to check in for the stay
The nearest hotel would have been Marriott but it was way out of my budget so when I found Daiwa Roynet I was extremely happy since I stayed at their Fukuoka outlet and it was an enjoyable stay. It was an easy 5 minutes walk from the Nagoya station and a 7 minutes walk to my pickup point for the tour
The hotel surrounding areas have multiple restaurants and there is a convenience store right next to the hotel. The building is relatively new and well maintained with an extremely spacious lobby. The breakfast restaurant is located on the first floor but I opted for the room without breakfast as I had an early train the next day. You can do the automated check in via the machines or with the counter staff which was quite hassle free and completed within 10 minutes
Amenities are available for guests to take at the lobby and includes body wash scrub towels, cotton buds, comb, toothbrush and more
Right at the entrance of the room is a small storage area with a full sized mirror and some hangers for your clothes
The room came with twin bed which is single sizes and there is also a sofa and coffee table which is meant for the watching of TV. The TV is placed together with the work desk which has a separate reading light. The room is also equipped with a humidifier, bar fridge and clothes press which came in useful for us to iron our clothes which was still damp from the laundry room. The beds were quite supportive although the pillow is extremely soft. They provided pajamas which were quite comfortable to wear. The room was quite comfortable and clean for our stay
The bathroom is the expected size of Japanese hotels with a fitted bathtub, bidet toilet and sink. All amenities like shampoo, body foam and conditioner is all provided within the bathroom. It is great that they provided grab bars as well near the bathtub for safety
Overall, the hotel is clean and well maintained and the stay was comfortable enough. The distance from the main station and the restaurants nearby was a plus point as it fitted well with my schedule. While the hotel was small, they still had quite good facilities like laundry room, vending machines, microwaves and ice machines
